Planting the Orchard

One of the first things our  volunteers did was to plant an orchard of Scottish and English heritage apple trees. Many of these trees were individually funded by donors in memory of a loved one. The orchard provides early blossom in the Spring for the nearby bee hives and fruit in late summer. These trees will continue to give pleasure for years to come.

List of apple varieties: Beauty of Bath; Clydesdale; Beauty of Moray; Court of Wick; Pitmaston Pineapple; Scotch Bridget; Lass O’Gowrie; Worcester Pearmain; Norfolk Royal Russet; Braeburn; George Cave; James Grieve.
