Welcome to Growing at Gilmerton –  a charity run by volunteers for volunteers. We are developing an old Kitchen Garden on the Gilmerton Estate in Rural East Lothian, learning, enjoying and growing as we go.

Upcoming Events

The volunteers at Growing at Gilmerton are delighted to have been invited to exhibit our willow weaving skills and products at the forthcoming Spring Market on the village green at Dirleton, this Sunday 3rd April from 11am to 3 pm. We will be showing and selling willow products made by our volunteers.

The walled garden is a short distance from Gilmerton House, through the old W.W.2 camp.

Turn into the main entrance to the Gilmerton Camp, then turn immediately Left. 

Follow the track around to the garden where you will find a parking space.
